TSA luggage locks refer to padlocks that have been Travel Sentry Sentry Approved and meet the requirements of the Transportation Safety Administration. A TS approved lock can be opened by authorised officials such as customs agents when they need to check your baggage. This is done by using a universal master key that TSA agents can use. After using the master key and inspecting the baggage the padlock can be re-locked by the inspector.
